Easter Art & Craft Show
Saturday 7th April 2012 at The Belvedere Centre, Norwich

Photograph by Jeremy BartlettN ART 2 held its first Easter Art and Craft Show at The Belvedere Centre, on Belvoir Street, on Saturday, featuring the work of over 30 local artists and makers selling and demonstrating a wide range of arts and crafts.

Demonstrations included pyrography with Kate Hodges, pastel painting with Jonathan Asher, bead weaving to make bracelets and necklaces with Maddie Parisio, linocut techniques from Vanna Bartlett and sewing with Jenny Whitehead.

Co-organiser, Vanna Bartlett, said: "N Art 2 is about bringing together the artistic talents of people in Norwich and the surrounding area to put on joint-shows and exhibitions to showcase their work and generate public interest."

"Exhibiting for the first time can be daunting but I think newcomers found a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the Easter Show. The demonstrations were very popular and were a great way of encouraging conversation between stallholders and visitors."

Refreshments and homemade cakes were also sold to raise funds for The Belvedere Centre.

The event received press coverage in the Eastern Daily Press and Norwich Evening News.
